The 3D versions of ‘Star Wars’ Episodes II and III that were originally slated to release next fall have been placed on the back burner while Lucasfilm concentrates on creating new episodes. Fans should expect ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ to hit movie theaters in 2015, and the plans for 3D releases on earlier films will be announced at a later date. Disney, who has a reputation for making films and TV shows with questionable subliminal messages, bought Lucasfilm about three months ago for $4 billion. The Star Wars Trilogy has an interesting history of its own incorporating subliminal messages and references to secret societies, such as the Freemasons.
The Star Wars franchise is responsible for bringing some of the highest-grossing films to movie theaters across the world. A lot of viewers have become exposed to the hidden messages found in the settings, background, and props of the movies. Below you will encounter some of the references that appear in the Star Wars movies, including checkered floors associated with Freemasonry and black sun symbolism.
Star Wars (1977)
Black Sun Symbolism ”“ The Death Star in the movie is a moon-sized space station (and highly advanced weapon) that has been viewed by some as being a representation of black sun symbolism. In the film the Death Star has the capacity to destroy the planet with a single blast of an extremely powerful beam of energy. The black sun has historical links to the occult, alchemy, and nefarious groups, such as the Nazis. In the movie, the black sun imagery appears in numerous scenes.
Checkered Floor Symbolism ”“ According to the Encyclopedia of Freemasonry by Albert G Mackey, the black and white checkered (or mosaic) pattern is an old symbol associated with the Order (Freemasons): “It is met with in the earliest rituals of the last century. It is classed among the ornaments of the lodge along with the indented tessel and the blazing star. Its party-colored stones of black and white have been readily and appropriately interpreted as symbols of the evil and good of human life.”
In Star Wars, the black and white checkered pattern is seen decorating the tabletop of a scene with Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan, C3PO and R2D2. A checkered pattern also appears on the helmets of pilots.
The first movie released in the Star Wars franchise also included black cube, hypercube, and sun subliminal references.
Star Wars ”“ The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Black Sun Symbolism ”“ In one scene, Darth Vadar (the ultimate antagonist in the earliest film trilogy) is seen standing on a platform that resembles a black sun reference. A scene where Luke Skywalker and Darth Vadar fight also looks much like an illuminated black sun reference.
Templar Cross ”“ The Knights Templar were a secret society that existed for nearly two centuries during the Middle Ages, where they organized to follow the military orders associated with the Western Christian faith. Modern associations of the organization include the Freemasons. In the movie, Luke Skywalker stands in front of a window-like glass feature, and some have noted the hidden Templar Cross that can be found within.
Sun Symbolism ”“ Sun symbolism subliminal messages/references found in the Empire Strikes Back include equipment appearing in a scene taking place in the snow; the front shield shown in a scene where Princess Leia and C3P0 are navigating a space vessel; and other examples that are found on the ceiling in various scenes.
