Have you ever come across a family member, friend or business that displayed the novel written by Russian-American author Ayn Rand, titled Atlas Shrugged? Are you aware of the meaning behind the book? First published in 1957, the publication was the author’s longest piece at more than 1,000 pages long, and it pointed out disturbing fears for the future that are still relevant today. Over the years, Rand’s book has been associated with providing what has been called a ‘blueprint’ for the New World Order. The novel is also said to have predicted infamous historic disasters, such as 9-11.
Atlas Shrugged takes a look at what America would be like if it were a dystopian society. These types of places are often plagued by totalitarian governments, a breakdown in the environment, and dehumanization. Overall, the society shows signs of great decline that oftentimes have irreversible consequences. Ayn Rand’s society sees the most productive and successful citizens refusing to give into increased taxation and government regulations. They disappear and with their absence, the most important of industries start to shut down. What follows is a taste of what could take place if the wealthy exercised the power they hold over the businesses and companies that they are in charge of.
As the title of the book suggests, the storyline makes a reference to what would occur if the mythological god Atlas refused to hold up the sky as he always did. What would happen? The world would collapse. The wealthy are compared to Atlas because the power and position that the elite hold has more of an influence on the lives of the common public than is realized.
The book has a reputation for highlighting the possible plans that the Illuminati have for the future. In order to make the kinds of changes that they supposedly want across the globe – they must see the wheels of change move towards creating a one-world government. The wealthy elite are believed to actively pursue a government that caters to their vision of the future.
For example, depopulation is one of the acts that are often associated with the Illuminati and the New World Order. Spreading sickness, the malicious actions of pharmaceutical companies, testing unsafe drugs on human ‘guinea pigs’ in third-world countries, and keeping certain medicines a secret are factors some believe play a role in decreasing the worldwide population.
Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged paints the picture of the type of conditions that could lead to the government having an excuse to implement the New World Order, where one government rules all. Oil prices rise, followed by the destruction of oil fields, and then the shutting down of coal mines. The chaos that ensures would open the doors for organizations, such as the Illuminati, to wield their power and influence over the greater public.
Interestingly, there is a rumor that Ayn Rand was allegedly the mistress of Philippe Rothschild (a supposed member of the Illuminati that belonged to a banking dynasty), who supposedly instructed her to write the book to show the public just how the Illuminati could take over. It is also said that the elite would place a copy of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged on their coffee tables for symbolic effect, and to show his or her support for the meaning behind the book.
